Name Bracket!

Here is the name bracket!  You can print, fill it out, and play along.  Baby Overton's real name is in this list somewhere. We'll reveal the results of Round 1 on Sunday, February 26, Round 2 on Sunday, March 4th, Round 3 on Sunday March 11th, etc.  We may adjust the timing once we hit the Final Four, in case KB makes an early or late appearance.  If you would like a better copy, we have a PDF we can email you.  (I don't think it's possible for me to upload a PDF to the blog!). If you'd like us to score your bracket for you, let send us an email with a completed copy.

Good luck!

It's a beautiful day!

I have had such a delightful day!

My dear friend, Emily, threw me the most amazing baby shower, and I had so many lovely friends and family in attendance. We ate a delicious dairy free and gluten free brunch, then made hair clips for Engelberta. All the ladies, except for me, wrote stories about KB's mommy and daddy so she can read what Rob and I were "like" before we became parents. Emily is going to bind those together to make a book.

It is wonderful to be loved by so many people!!

Received many useful and cute gifts, now I should get started on the baby's room. :)

Dad and Mom unloaded our gifts at the house while I chatted with friends, and then we headed to Fred and Rita's with Josh, Rachel, and Ashley to watch the KU OSU basketball game. Mom and Dad O, thanks for letting us use your cable while you were at the game!

We all met back at our house, plus Carrie, for a pizza and bracket party. Papa Murphy's has great pizza, and we ordered some without cheese so I was able to put some of that yummy Daiya "cheese" on one to make it Mel-happy. The family worked hard on filling in their name brackets. 64 names, who will be the winner???

A blank bracket will be available soon so you can play!

Mighty Movements

Engelberta gets really active at night. Last night she moved a lot, and big movements that shook my entire belly. I'm thinking (hoping!) she flipped to head down. Right now I feel as if she has more than two legs and arms, I'm getting punched, nudged and prodded all over the place. A few weeks ago I was really sad because she got bigger, and so her movements changed from flutters and flips and real hard kicks to rolls and jabs. I suppose she is supposed to get bigger, so that's a good thing! Now I'm not sad about her movement changes, except that she stops moving when Rob comes over to feel/look! As soon as he walks away, she starts up again. Already playing games with Daddy. :-)

Minor Meltdown

Well, if you've seen my facebook status for the evening, you know that my flash drive stopped working. I was hoping there would be a quick fix, but from it sounds like, it's fried. I read fb messages from computer friends who said that there may be a chance to recover my info, but it's probably going to cost some $$$.

I stood in the bedroom reading my messages while Rob was putting on his accordion. I started thinking about everything that was on my flash drive that was NOT backed up anywhere else and just started crying. Oh my! Sweet Rob took off his accordion and came down to console me, then said he'd try to do some research tonight or tomorrow on recovery costs.

Even if I wasn't pregnant I think I would have still cried over my flash drive. And it's my fault for not backing up my info, and my flash drive is five years old! Which is ANCIENT when you think about technology.

This weekend Rob and I are going to back up our pictures, on CDs or SD cards or the internet. If only I had thought to utilize google docs.........

Sleep will cure all, even if for a little while.

On a very happy note, we had an impromptu baby date night. Hit up Buy Buy Baby and actually got assistance with stroller choices and carriers. Then ate an Italian Feast at Cinzettis. Now I'm being serenaded by Phillip Glass on accordion. I love my husband!!!!!!

Hiccup!

Well, little Engleberta had the hiccups last night. What a bizarre feeling!

I've been told that she's going to have a lot of hair due to the fact that I have had a lot of heartburn. We'll see how accurate that old wives tale really is in April. :)

She is also looking forward to our staff Christmas luncheon this afternoon. It starts at 1:00, and I've had some clementines to tide me over until real lunch. Usually I eat around 11:30, and this wait is a LONG TIME!

We're also doing a gift exchange, and I brought the DVD of "A Christmas Story." I thought that would be a fun gift for a party.

For those wondering, I'm finally feeling back to normal. We were supposed to do "Christmas" with the Hambletons on Saturday, but since myself, mom and dad were sick, we postponed. Josh and Rachel are hosting tonight at their place in Lawrence. The forecast calls for snow, hopefully we avoid it until traveling is done.

If I don't get a chance for another update, Merry Christmas!!!

Baby Bump!

I haven't done the best at posting m(any) bump pictures. Here's one taken this past Friday, 23.5 weeks pregnant. :-)

Today I'm waiting to hear back from the doctor if I can take mucinex while PG. I've got Something...hopefully just a cold. I haven't run a fever, but I do have the muscle soreness, nasal stuff, and sore throat. Stayed home from school today, which is why I have time to do an update. Headed back to bed soon.

I hope everyone stays healthy for Christmas!
